Venice is home not only to genius artist like Bellini, Veronese, Tintoretto and Tiepolo who made Venetian painting popular worldwide but it also has strong links with the contemporary art panorama with contemporary art institution like the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana. Last but not least Ca’ Pesaro which I have recently visited.
Ca’ Pesaro is a MUVE museum and houses the Contemporary Gallery of Modern Art, whose collection presents artist from the 19th to 20th century, spacing from Klimt to Kandinsky, from De Chirico to Boccioni. This contemporary art museum is housed in a baroque 19th century palace on the Grand Canal, built by Baldassare Longhena, one of Venice’s greatest Baroque architects.
Here is my ebook with some tips to visit Ca’ Pesaro that you can download before visiting.
